VOLUNTEERS
……………………………………………..
Volunteers are the life blood of the project. There is no limit to the variety of skills needed to achieve our mission. Whether it be woodworking, metal working, painting, sewing, administrative, fund raising or a myriad of other tasks that require skills that most everyone possesses. If there is any doubt about your abilities drop us a note and we can discuss the possibilities.
The local Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is the lead organization for recruiting volunteers. They have the technical skills and know-how concerning the building, restoration and replication of aircraft. This does not mean you need to have these skills to join EAA, it means you probably have the desire to learn those skills or at least enjoy being around airplanes. Also it is not necessary for you to be a member of EAA Chapter 811, Ithaca, NY to be a volunteer but who knows, you may just ‘get the bug’ and find yourself filling out an application. Dues are only $10 a year.
